Shaun David Lucas is a 22 years old white police officer of Wolfe City in Texas, United States of America. He is in custody for the murder of a Texas Black citizen named Jonathan Price.

His name has flooded all over the internet after the Wolfe police officer was charged for killing a 31 years old hometown hero, motivational speaker, trainer, professional athlete, and pillar of the community – Jonathon Price. On 5th October 2020, he was under custody and held a bond set for $1000000.

According to the sources, on October 3rd, 2020, Price was gunned by Lucas when he was trying to solve a domestic dispute at the Exxon gas station, in Texas City.

The DPS Texas ranger has released a statement on this incident which says, Officer Lucas responded to a disturbance call at the 100 block of Santa Fe Street for an ongoing fight when encountered with Jonathon Price.

He was involved in an altercation with a man and a woman. When Officer Lucas tried to set him back, he held up against him and starting walking away. At this gesture of his, the Wolfe officer fired Jonathon through his weapon and he lost his life.

They continued that the actions of the officer were not objectionably reasonable; hence arresting him for murder charges and booked him into the country jail.

Controversy

After this mishappening, the entire Texas City is devastated and it’s all the citizens have joined hands in support of their hometown hero. People are calling out for justice and are conducting rallies and candle-march to show their assistance towards him.

Whereas, Jonathon’s family is still a major shock and is not able to get over this harsh reality that their son is no more. They have turned out to be their late child’s main pillar during this tough phase and are doing every possible thing to make sure that he is served with Justice from this cruelty of the police officer.

They also took to social media sites with the help of their civil rights lawyer, s. Lee Merritt, and addressed about this incident. It stated that Jonathon was trying to protect a woman from getting assaulted by a man. Meanwhile, the police arrived and he raised his hands to explain the whole scenario but the officer did not listen and fired teasers at him.

When his body convulsed from the electric current, they realized a threat to them and shot him to death. After this incident, the first responders took the hometown hero to Hunt Regional Hospital in a hope that he might come back to life but he couldn’t be saved and left the world.

On 5th February 2020, lawyer Merritt and his relatives came together in the site of this disheartening mishap and called out to Hunt Country District Attorney to issue an arrest warrant for the officer who shot Price, to seek justice for this unfairness.

Biography

Texas Police Officer Shaun David Lucas is the only three police officers working for the Tiny Wolfe City Police Department. The other two officers include the city’s police chief Matthew Martin and Sergeant Jarred Hayes.

Though the information regarding his joining and years worked is still hidden from the rest of the world but it is known through police records that the officer already had four run-ins with the law before this incident.

He is not very well recognized in the small town of Wolfe City and has been living in Greenville, Texas since 2018. According to public records, he lived in Lone Oaks, Forney, and Corpus Christ and resided in Rockwall from 2007 to 2016.

In January 2016, he was charged and fined with $227 for riding at a speed of above 85 mph in a 65mph zone in Rockwall, Texas. In the same year officer Lucas, was again cited in Rockwall for violating driver’s license restrictions and had to pay $177 as a fine.

He didn’t stop here but was once again fined with $227 for high speed in Rockwall in February 2017.

In June 2018, the officer was stopped and fined in the Hunt Country for using glass coating materials in the window of his car.
