Married at First Sight's Alessandra Rampolla Shares Swimsuit Selfies
Alessandra Rampolla is sharing a swimsuit selfie with her followers. In a new social media post the Married at First Sight Sexologist shows off her amazing body in a white bathing suit while on the beach. "Every day more beautiful," one of her followers commented. "Beautiful woman," added another. How does the 49-year-old keep herself looking forever young? Celebwell rounded up her top lifestyle habits.
Alessandra told Woman's Day Magazine in 2021 that she underwent a gastric bypass in 2008 after trying to lose weight on her own. "It was such a transformation both physically and mentally. I did it for my health, and at the time I was married and I was thinking about having kids and I had learned about the complications of trying for a baby with that extra weight, so I made a decision," she explained. "I tried a lot of different things before it, but [the surgery] really allowed me to get my weight under control."
Alessandra loves to swim. Swimming is a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity, according to the CDC. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, there are multiple studies supporting the mental health benefits of swimming as well.
Alessandra exercises for her body and mind. "Today I felt the need to physically unload. Does it happen to them? 🤔 Here in my post-workout bliss… Saying goodbye to the afternoon from my new balcony," she captioned a post. Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.
Alessandra gets outdoors and takes hikes. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:
- Building stronger muscles and bones
- Improving your sense of balance
- Improving your heart health
- Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems
Alessandra does yoga. She shared a photo of a yoga studio. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. "Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood," they said. "People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating."
