Alongside a heartwarming carousel of family photographs, M1 shared a thoughtful caption that shed light on the source of his inspiration. He revealed that Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, who represents Massachusetts’s 7th Congressional District and has alopecia herself, was a driving force behind this heartfelt act.
“Everyone send your birthday wishes to my daughter Mali-Ma’at!! It’s hard to wrap my mind around the amazing human she has become. And as you can see we are taking on this journey with her alopecia together! If you wonder why I cut my hair (even tho some of you may be glad),” wrote M1, accompanied by a laughing emoji.
“It is in solidarity with Mali and it also happens to be National Alopecia Month. I am blown away by her courage daily and love being her Dad. And in the last slide I’m with Congresswoman @ayannapressley who has been an inspiration from beginning of our journey. Keep going y’all!!
