Dan Orlovsky gets away with harsh 'dump truck' joke about Dwayne Haskins

Dan Orlovsky, a former NFL quarterback turned sports analyst, made an appearance on ESPN's "First Take" on Monday to speak on the league's opening weekend and got away with a tone-deaf joke about how the San Francisco 49ers "dump trucked" the Pittsburgh Steelers, seemingly referencing Dwayne Haskins' death.

Haskins, who played for the Steelers at the time of his tragic passing, was only 24 years of age when a dump truck killed him while he walked on the highway due to unfortunate circumstances.

Orlovsky, 40, apparently poked fun at the player's cause of death while debating Stephen A. Smith and Shannon Sharpe.

"If you're Philadelphia and you watched San Francisco dump truck Pittsburgh," Orlvasky said.

He then paused for a few seconds with a slight grin on his face before doubling down on saying that the Niners "dump trucked" the Steelers.

Nobody notices Dan Orlovsky's cruel joke

When Orlovsky stopped for a moment after delivering his cruel joke, both Smith and Sharpe simply said "okay" as a way of moving the conversation forward, and seemingly did not notice the comment.

Orlovsky said the cold quip again as if to make sure his television partners understood the joke, but again received no response, positve or negative.

Media outlets have also turned a blind eye to the ESPN talking head making fun of the death of a young NFL player.

Haskins' wife, whose sister is the alleged victim of NBA player Kevin Porter Jr., will certainly speak out against Orlovsky when catching wind of what he did.
