Publish date: 2024-06-25

The UK has the fastest growing Country Music scene and with homegrown acts such as Ward Thomas, The Shires, Catherine McGrath, Andy Brown and many more paving the way for the Brits it’s only a matter of time before the genre becomes a mainstream staple in Britain.

Meanwhile international acts such as Carrie Underwood, Shania Twain, Thomas Rhett, Cassadee Pope and more regularly tour across the UK to sold out venues, showcasing the lure of the British Country fans.

And this year we have an exciting mix of homegrown and international artists ready to share new music and albums with the world so we have listed the top-four Country acts we can’t wait for new albums from:

1: Sarah Darling – Wonderland -June 7th

Iowa native, Nashville based and adopted Brit Sarah Darling is one of the most treasured US Country artists. She has been taken to the hearts of the ever expanding UK fanbase and fans regularly flock to her live shows. She has a sweet innocence about her, while her music uplifts and inspires. Sarah’s new LP ‘Wonderland‘ will be released on June 7th and promises to be one of the most exciting releases of the year.

2: Lady Antebellum – 2019

Fans of the Country crossover trio Lady Antebellum wont have to wait long for new music as the group confirmed that new single ‘What If I Never Get Over You’ will be dropping this May. The track will act as the first official single off their forthcoming new LP which is slated for release later this year. Lady A are then set to confirm a mammoth 2020 world tour in support of the record.

3: Carly Pearce – 2019

2017 was a massive year for Carly Pearce what with the release of her debut album ‘Every Little Thing’ and the breakout single of the same name breaking chart records. The Kentucky native ended 2018 on a high with the release of new single ‘Closer To You’, and 2019 is set to be her best year yet. The singer will be announcing details of her eagerly anticipated sophomore album very soon, and after a hugely successful UK live debut at C2C last month the sky is the limit for this 90s tinged hitmaker.

4: Una Healy – 2019

2019 has been massive for Una Healy so far. Not only is she the voice of the UK’s first ever national radio station Country Hits Radio on Saturday mornings, but the mother of two has also released her stunning single ‘Strangers’ which is riding high in the Irish charts right now. The track is her most raw and honest piece of work and gives a glimpse into what fans can expect from her sophomore solo LP later this year.
