10 Things You Didnt Know about Anders Holm

Being the fact behind the screen often means no one knows your name, but that is just not true for the hilarious Anders Holm. He’s the creator of things such as Comedy Central and Workaholics, and it seems that everyone knows his name. Now we are in a situation in which we have to admit we know him and have heard of Anders Holm more than once or twice, yet we have no idea what he is really like or how he really is. I guess that just means that we have to get to know him a bit more, and we really don’t think that will be much of a problem.

He’s a swimmer

When Anders Holm was in college, he decided he needed some extracurricular activities to take up a bit of his time. He made it his point in life to become someone that was well-rounded and good at most everything, so he joined the swim team. What this means for him is that he gets to swim, he gets to compete in school matches and he gets to hang out with ladies in swim suits. Sounds like something more men might take advantage of if they had a chance.

He’s from Illinois

Born and raised in Evanston, Anders Holm knows what it’s like to be from a small town. He is the kind of man who understands that being a small town guy is not always what it seems. It doesn’t mean you won’t go anywhere in life or that you cannot shoot for the stars, dream big and make things happen for yourself. It is what it is, and that’s what most people think but are too afraid to hope for.

He married his college sweetheart

Anders Holm is a man who likes what he likes, and that happens to be his college girlfriend. He married her after they graduated and they began their careers. They were married in 2011. Many people might point out you don’t see a lot of that anymore, but I disagree. My husband and I are high school sweethearts, as are our two sets of best friends, and we’ve all been married at least 11 years at this point – and we’re still having fun. Anders Holm knows this is entirely possible.

He’s a dad

Anders Holm and his wife have one child together. They have a little boy who was born just before Christmas in 2013, and so far he’s doing just fine as an only child. The little boy is one who will likely grow up and appreciate his dad’s humor and the fact that he does what he does, but not before he’s completely unimpressed as a child. That might have to wait until he is a bit older.

He acts, too

Anders Holm is not just the man behind the camera. He’s been acting a bit most of his life, too. He’s been on the hit shows he’s produced, as well as Mindy Kaling’s show and even Modern Family. He’s not bad at what he does, and he’s actually making quite the mark on the world of acting. We think he is a man of many talents, and that he has a lot to be proud of in that aspect of his life.

He’s a smart man

When he was filming a movie of his own recently, he was the one who had to school everyone on the set about what would really happen when they get a baby naked. Being the father of a little boy, he told the crew to be careful taking a diaper off a baby boy since it would urinate everywhere. No one believed him, but he was right and he proved it to them when the baby did pee on everyone. He laughed.

He sleeps through the night

Anders Holm is not afraid to make it known that he and his wife had a night nurse when their son was born. She helped to care for the baby in the middle of the night, and his wife got up to nurse the baby. Of course, he slept through the night because with another set of hands already there, there was no need for him to wake up several times a night to help with things of that nature in the least.

He won’t watch television in the bedroom

I have to admit that Anders Holm is the only person I have ever heard who has the same motto as me and my husband. “The bedroom is for two things; sleeping and being intimate,” which is what we’ve been saying for more than 14 years now. Everyone we know has a television in their room, but we don’t and have no plan on ever having one in there. Anders Holm has the same opinion, and I find it quite refreshing.

He doesn’t think he’s a great adult

Anders Holm might be funny and successful, but he feels he’s got just as much of a mess in his life as anyone else. He does not feel any overwhelming need to believe he is perfect or even very good at doing the normal thing. He feels that he has just as many ups and downs and everything in between as people who might not be as successful or might not seem to have their act together. He’s a man who just knows that life is about being who you are.

He thinks his parents were great

He once said that his parents let him watch movies he probably should not have been watching at a certain age, but that he feels it made him funny and pretty well-rounded. He thinks that even though they might not have made the same decisions as other parents, they were pretty amazing parents in their own right. He’s right, of course, Parents make their own decisions and they do what is best for their own kids, and that is what makes them so amazing.
